Blood Runs Cold was founded originally in 1992 by Michiel and Max in Haarlem, The Netherlands. In 1994, after creating songs, recruiting a bass player and a drummer and many rehearsals they had their first performance in a local 'pub'. In the same year they recorded their first demo and in 1996 they released several singles. The band split in 1997 but ten years later Michiel, Max, Jeroen and Boudewijn reunite. In november 2007 Blood Runs Cold did a small intimate performance playing all their old songs from the mid-90's.

In 2008 Blood Runs Cold recorded five songs, both new material and some old unreleased tracks from the 90's. Those songs are now being released as 'Single', on their official myspace site. The first Single has been released on February 2nd 2009 and is called 'The End Of Thoughts', a brand new song. The single also contains 'Wasted' (an old song from the 90's re-recorded) and a Live version of 'Fairy Tale' performed in november 2007.
